Keswick Vineyards Cabernet Franc 2021

100% Cabernet Franc in this 2021 varietal. The nose is fairly expressive but requires some aeration and warmth, revealing a mélange of red and black berry fruits, white pepper tones with accents of smoke, black tea, grilled meats and roasted coffee bean. The palate shows medium acidity, with medium plus tannins and medium to full bodied mouthfeel. The nuances of the nose transfer to the palate with dominantly red and black fruited berries, before secondary flavors of toasty oak, bitter chocolate and stony minerality come through.
A complex wine that is quite savory but requires a few more years to reach its full potential. Do not be afraid to lay this down for 3-5 years before enjoying. Pair with bitter greens and balsamic drizzle, spicy rub meats or enjoy on its own. RHW
